FOR EMPLOYERS

A program to support employers with understanding cultural diversity in the workplace, bystander effect and managing team dynamics - to help create happier, healthier teams.

About the program

USING SPORT TO CONNECT & UNITE

We take a unique approach to personal growth by sharing lived experience of First Nations NRL and NRLW athletes who are skilled in teamwork and managing change, to connect and unite.

Through sharing knowledge and personal accounts, we humanise the experience with the intent to create change through understanding.

EXPLORING THE PROGRAM

In addition to understanding place-based history and hearing from First Nations athletes who share their stories about the topic, we dive into cultural diversity in the workplace and how that presents in working relationships. Core content of the program includes:

  • Understanding human behaviour in relation to conscious and unconscious bias, unpacking preconceived ideas and personal relevance

  • The bystander effect and peer-to-peer influence, and how it affects workplace culture

  • Indigenous athletes share their personal stories and perspective

  • Why diversity matters

  • Making sense of inclusivity

  • Actions and take aways: reflection, personal responsibility, where to go for more support.

PROGRAM FORMAT

  • One day course, approximately 4 hours including a lunch break

  • Program includes lunch for the participating group

  • We aim to utilise the most suitable athletes and presenters to suit your groups needs, to heighten workplace-specific learning

  • Designed to be an engaging and upbeat course with a relaxed presentation style, allowing for open discussion and inclusion.
